오늘도 러시아 선교를 향해서 정성을 다해서 기도와 물질로 함께 해 주시는 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
지난 10월 중순부터 눈이 내리기 시작하더니 이제 매일 눈을 동반한 찬바람이 우리의 피부를 뚫고 오는 듯합니다. 미끄러운 눈길이라 사람도, 차도 조심 조심 갈 길을 재촉하는 모습이 서서히 익숙해집니다. 그리고 러시아 경제는 현재 놀라울 정도의 성장하고 있는데 IMF 보고서에 따르면, 올 연말 GDP 규모가 9.750억 달러에 달해 한국까지 제치고 단독 10위에 오를 전망으로 물가가 수직 상승 하고 있습니다.
♥♥ 부산 장로 성가단 방문 ♥♥ 지난 9월 14일부터 한 주간 동안 부산 장로 성가단(단장 이경석 장로) 20명이 모스크바를 방문하셨습니다. 매년 해외 선교지를 방문해 주님을 찬양하며 섬기는 귀한 공동체인데 올해는 이 러시아를 방문해 2차례에 걸쳐서 공연하는 동안 장로님들 모두가 지난 60 생애를 살아온 뒤를 돌아보며 하나님께 눈물로 고백하는 그 찬양에 풍성한 은혜를 받으며 하나님께 영광을 돌렸습니다.
♧♧교회 소식♧♧ 1부 러시아 예배, 2부 한국인의 예배를 드리는 모스크바 예수 가족 교회는 이영근 선교사님과 함께 보다 더 견실하게 그리고 시냇가에 심은 나무처럼 잎사귀가 마르지 않고 시절을 쫓아 과실을 맺는 모습에 감사를 드립니다. 지난주부터는 러시아 예배에 영적 성장을 기도하며 알파 코스가 시작됐습니다. 태권도 현지인 제자들도 함께 참가하고 있는데 많은 은혜를 받고 있습니다. 그리고 토요일 오전에는 태권도 현지 제자들을 따로 모아서 다시 한 번 하나님의 말씀과 기도로 주님을 잠잠히 바라고 있습니다.
개척한 중국 조선족 교회도 여러 가지 어려운 여건 중에도 꾸준한 양질의 성장을 거듭하고 있어 감사합니다. 약 30여명의 성도들이 매주 한 시간 혹은 한 시간 반이 넘는 거리를 지하철과 버스를 갈아타고 달려와 정성 다해서 예배하는 모습이 너무나 귀합니다. 10월 3째주는 온 교회가 추수 감사절로 섬겼습니다. 모두가 정성을 다해서 각종 과실과 채소, 곡물로 감사 제사를 드리게 되어 참 감사했습니다. 그리고 사는 지역을 중심으로 매주 화요일은 김상호 권찰님 집에서, 목요일 저녁은 저희 집에서 저녁 식사를 대접한 후에 성경 공부를 시작했습니다. 그리스도의 장성한 분량까지 잘 자라기를 기도합니다.
♥♥ 태권도 선교 사역 ♥♥ 안식년 동안 현지 제자들의 자리 변동이 다소 있었습니다. 대학을 졸업하고 회사나 학교 교사로, 의사로 진로를 결정하여 나아가다 보니 몇몇 지체들의 변동이 불가피했습니다. 그러나 하나님께서 다시금 제자리들을 찾게 하셔서 최선의 사역을 이루고 있습니다. 특히 대사관에서의 태권도 사역은 참 감사한 마음이 큽니다. 현재 모스크바 전역에 10개의 훈련장에서 진행하는 선교 사역에 계속해서 신실한 예수님의 제자들이 일어날 수 있도록 기도 부탁드립니다. 그리고 모스크바 한국 학교와 미국 선교사 자녀 학교의 아이들에게 체육 수업과 태권도 수업을 다시 지도하고 있습니다. 늘 어린 생명을 섬기도록 은혜 주신 하나님 앞에서 진실하게 이들을 섬기도록 기도해 주십시오.
☆☆ 태권도 선교 시범 공연☆☆ 러시아 국립 사회 대학교에서의 선교 시범의 기회를 주셨습니다. 현지인들을 위한 한국어과가 개설되어 있는데 한국 대사관과 함께 이 한국어과 개설 10주년을 축하하는 자리였습니다. 본 선교 센터의 제자들과 함께 선교 시범을 펼칠 때에 십자가를 자랑하고, 참으로 많은 격려와 사랑을 받는 축복의 시간이었습니다.
◈◈ 신학교 사역◈◈ 러시아 공의회 내에 러시아 장로교 신학교에서 계속 강의하고 있습니다. 벌써 곧 한학기가 마무리 될 시점에 다다랐는데 늘 정성을 다해서 저들을 섬길 때에 좋은 사역자들이 배출 될 수 있도록 기도 부탁드립니다. 또한 잘 감당할 수 있도록 시간과 건강, 지혜를 위해서 기도해 주십시오.
♡♡가족 소식♡♡ 창훈이와 예진이가 다니는 학교에서 이번 주 토요일(11월 4일) 날 발표회를 가집니다. 이 연주회를 위해 날마다 열심히 연습하는 모습들이 기특하기만 합니다. 그리고 아내 이금지 선교사가 베트남 시장에서 산 연주 복을 오늘도 매만지는 그들의 모습에서 늘 미래를 기대합니다.
